FREE SCIENCE LESSON - “Free Analyzing Data Worksheet: Global Temperature Anomalies in the 21st Century”

This free one-page graphing worksheet will give your students practice analyzing data and interpreting a line graph with quantitative data concerning climate change. It uses real-life global temperature anomalies from NASA. It can be used in middle school science, social studies, or math classrooms. It can also be added to your homeschool curriculum. FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “FREE Core Words Snack Time Picture Communication Board for AAC Users”

FREE SCIENCE LESSON - “FREE Introduction to Science BOOM Cards”

Boom Cards are a versatile tool that allow your students to answers different question types using an interactive, self-checking platform.

You DO need a a Boom Learning account to use this resource. Click the link within the PDF you download to get set up and access the free cards in the interactive platform.

Why are we using Boom?

After researching different platforms that will help prepare students for STAAR 2.0, we selected Boom Learning because it best met our needs. This platform allows us to introduce various question types to students in an easy-to-use way. Unfortunately, most other platforms just can't do what Boom can.

In the paid version of Boom, you can track students' learning and set up individual accounts. With a free account you can still project the questions for games or demonstrations or share a link for individuals to use.

Since I'm also new to Boom, I provided a free set of cards so you can take a look and decide if Boom Cards are right for you.

BOOM

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account.
