Each step is on a separate slide and can be used on the board for group planning or turned into a student notebook.

Mother's Day Linky Party!

Liz, the creator of The Happy Teacher blog, created a Mother's Day Linky Party.  Get some great new ideas for Mother's Day!

I included my "Mother's Day Coupons - 3 Versions."  In Version #1, the student traces over the dotted letters of each coupon. In Version #2, the student draws a picture for each coupon. In Version #3, the student does not have to write on the actual coupon but may illustrate a cover for the coupons.  The 55 page product has the same 36 coupons in the 3 different sets.

There are 12 covers for Versions #1 & #3 and 16 covers for Version #2. Blank pages of the three sets are also provided so that students may create their own covers and coupons.

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Stars of the Group: Small Group Role Cards Freebie (Autism)”

by Christine Reeve
5th - 12th Grade

Many of us work with students who struggle with group collaborative assignments because of their difficulty with social situations. One strategy that I have used to help students participate successfully in small groups is to assign roles explicitly to the participants in the group. These cards provide a fun way of doing it. You can mix them up and have the students draw a card or you can assign the roles depending on what works best for your class.

Cut them out and laminate them or leave them as paper and put them folded in a container for students to draw. I’ve left 2 blank cards so you can add roles that you need for your class that I haven’t thought of. Great for students with autism, Asperger's syndrome, or other special needs.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Lined Alpha Boxes”

by Love Learn Teach
1st - 5th Grade

These alpha boxes can be used for a variety of purposes. In my classroom, we have used these for:
- facing index pages in a science, vocabulary, or math journal
- as a graphic organizer to activate students' prior knowledge prior to a unit of student (this works very well with the Round Table cooperative learning structure)
- personal word walls
- as a graphic organizer to track key vocabulary during units of study.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “A to Z Toddler and Preschool Curriculum Sample A - D”

by Kathy Hutto
Pre-Kindergarten

This resource contains a sample of the curriculum, A to Z Toddler and Preschool Curriculum. It includes A through D, which includes lesson plans, printable lesson plan sheet, and blank letters to decorate.

The complete curriculum would be perfect for Daycare centers, Homeschool or church Mother's Morning Out Programs or Preschool Programs. In fact, it's what I use every time I'm asked to substitute for my church's Mother's Morning Out program and the kids LOVE it!!

The complete curriculum is the culmination of many ideas learned over the course of 18 plus years of teaching. The first part of this book contains Classroom Management ideas, How to Set up Your Classroom, Bulletin Board ideas, Daily Schedule Samples and more. This is the only resource a new teacher would need to hit the ground running. It would be ideal for someone who works in a Day Care Center or has one in their home. The remainder of this resource includes Weekly Lesson Plans, Lesson Notes, and Black Line Masters.

Each week includes Bible Time, Greeting Circle, Center Time, Circle Time, Story Time, Nap Time, Game Time and Music, and Closing Circle. No additional planning will be necessary to implement the lessons contained in this book. It is set up to cover one letter per week. In addition to the letter of the week, it includes a weekly theme that starts with the letter of the week. The same color, shape, and number are worked on all month long.

Each lesson includes activities for teaching and practicing letter skills, number skills, shapes, and colors. In addition, there is a weekly scripture memory verse (KJV), art projects, and snack ideas. This curriculum begins in August and ends in May. The activity and craft ideas included are very budget friendly. There are Holiday Lessons plans for every major holiday that falls within the school year.

This resource contains the following sections:
