FREE MISC. LESSON - “Anti-Bullying Song -- Teaches that bullies are boring. Funny teen vocal. Scary Guy”

by I am Bullyproof Music
2nd - 6th Grade

Bullies are a yawn. Teen Zoe makes her point brilliantly in this highly amusing anti-bullying empowerment tune. Our tune "Scary Guy" teaches students how to bullyproof themselves with humor. This song easily leads to character education SEL classroom discussions around choosing more wisely the company we keep. Why hang out with dreary people? Positivity is a whole lot more fun. Bully be gone!

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Birthday Activity”

by Rikki Lee
PreKindergarten - 3rd Grade

For this birthday activity, you have two options: first you could print page 2 and have the birthday child cut it out. Or option 2, you could have the birthday child cut out page 3 and color it to their liking.

Page 4 are sparkle statements. I place one strip on each child’s desk. They have to write a sparkle statement to that child on their birthday. I tell the kids I don’t want them to write Suzy is nice. I want them to think of good qualities about that specific child. We usually have a lesson before.

Then when they are finished with their sparkle statement they bring it to my back table. I usually do this first thing in the morning. I make the strips into a chain. I attach the chain to the picture of the cake.

This is a way of celebrating that child. My students have always loved this activity. I would recommend printing this activity on cardstock. It's pretty flimsy if you don't.

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Music: Rhythm Chart (for USA)”

by Aussie Music Teacher
3rd - 8th Grade

A useful handout for your students to use as a reference for their rhythm work.

It is particularly good to use in conjunction with your aural work i.e. rhythm dictations.

This is the one resource that I am STILL using with all of my music classes after 25 plus years of teaching.

FREE MATH LESSON - “I Have, Who Has? Place Value 5.NBT.1 (freebie)”

by Kimberly Quinn
4th - 5th Grade

I Have, Who Has? activities are a simple way to review a concept with your students. Traditionally the game is played with the whole class (see below for variations).

This game is aligned with the 5th grade Common Core (5.NBT.1)

Print out on card stock and laminate for durability.
Cut out the individual cards.
These look great printed on light blue card stock.

Whole class activity:

Pass out a card to each student. Given the class size you may need to give more than one card to some students. (Each card must be used for the activity to work.)

Pick a student to start. Have the student read their card aloud. The student who has the answer to the first card reads their card next. The last student to read their card should connect back to the first card that was read.

Variations – When first introducing this game to your class it is helpful to photocopy several copies and have the students work on them in small groups. Have them line up the cards making sure the last card connects back to the first. This helps reinforce the concept being reviewed while getting the students familiar with how the game works.

FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Valentine’s Day Word Challenge”

by Amy Biddison
2nd - 5th Grade

Use this fun Valentine's Day Word Challenge to engage your students in working with sounds and words. Students will use the scrambled letters from two common Valentine's symbols to create as many other words as they can. The second goal is to decode the scrambled letters to figure out the challenge words.

This is a great activity to do whole class, individually or as a word work center. Make a game out of it by challenging students to create as many words as they can that other students do not have. My class also loves to find as many words as they can while racing the clock.

I hope you and your class enjoy this activity as much as we have!

FREE MISC. LESSON - “Table Job Labels (Green Polka Dot)”

by 4mulaFun
Pre-Kindergarten - 12th Grade

These cute little labels are perfect to put on the corners of groups of desks so each child has a job. Graphics are from Melonheadz Illustrating and From the Pond.

There are a total of 8 labels with 6 of them being filled out with the following jobs:

Table Leader
Scribe
Materials Manager
Cleanup Crew
Motivation Manager
Tight Lip Lieutenant

as well as 2 blank labels for your use. I secure these to my desks in the beginning of the year and my students are able to sit at any seat at their assigned table and therefore the jobs get rotated around on a regular basis. They never know when we might do group work so there is no real "choosing" of a job each day.

Enjoy the FREE download. Please take the time to rate the product and leave feedback as well so that I may grow as a seller. Thank you!
