FREE SOCIAL STUDIES LESSON - “What Do You Know? Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day”

Some of the United States' most important patriotic national holidays fall during the summer months. These three, short, multiple-choice quizzes are useful as anticipation activities to introduce and discuss Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day. They can also be used to complement reading assignments or lessons about the holidays. There are five questions per quiz, and keys are included.

I received the Crystal Apple Award from N.B.C. News. The "Excellence in Teaching" Award was given to me by the Los Angeles Unified School District's Los Angeles Educational Partnership. My Math Team won the first place trophy four times in the Los Angeles Unified School District's Math Tournament.
