Use these digital, self-grading, interactive BOOM DECK TASK CARDS to help your 3rd grade students find the AREA of rectangles with this fun MATCH GAME. One of the MAJOR CONTENT standards for THIRD grade is geometric measurement and the ability to understand concepts of AREA and relate area to multiplication and to addition. Students must be able to multiply side lengths to find areas of RECTANGLES with whole-number side lengths. In this activity, students will be asked to find the area of both a rectangular shape with whole number side lengths and rectangular tiled shapes. They will then find the area cards that match each other.
