FREE MATH LESSON - “Skip Counting”

by Lori Flagor
1st - 3rd Grade

I hope you enjoy this freebie! This can be used for math practice or for an assessment. I use this several times a year and each time I use it I make it a little more challenging. First I give each child one dice and have them roll a number. They write the number down and then count on from that number. The second time they practice I give them 2 dice. They add the dice together and that is the number they start with. The third time they do the activity they use 2 dice, one dice is the tens place and the other dice is the ones place and they count on from that. The most challenging is to use 3 dice, one for the hundreds, tens, and ones. Children love to do this activity and it helps them master the standard of counting by 1,2,5, and 10 to 1000. Enjoy!
