FREE MATH LESSON - “One Step Equations: Bingo Game - FREE”

This fun activity will surely engage the whole class and is a great way to practice their skills in solving one step equations. Students will solve problems with varying levels of difficulty and find the answers on their Bingo card. Whoever covers five squares in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally first wins.

FREE MATH LESSON - “Task Cards and Walk-About Sampler Freebie for Middle School Math”

Task Cards and Walk-Abouts are great activities to get students out of their seats, walking around, engaged in problem solving, and moving in math class! With so many ways to use these resources, differentiation becomes simplified and student ownership in their learning increases. Think daily warm-ups, math stations, review days, engagement activities, early finishers, etc. – use your imagination!

Students can work with a partner, small group, or individually to solve the problems one at a time, which allows students to improve focus and motivation. So many students become overwhelmed at worksheets containing 20 or more problems. By working on problems one at a time, our reluctant learners are more likely to participate and improve their math skills. Students can work in whatever order they want, so it is easy to spread them out across the room. Each problem is individually numbered and task cards also contain the learning objective on each card.

In the full products, half sheet student answer sheets are also included to help save on paper and copying costs. Printing each question on cardstock and laminating each will keep copy costs down and preserve the activity for years to come. I hope you and your students enjoy this activity as much as mine do!
