FREE MATH LESSON - “Tricky Twenty-Four: A fun spin on Order of Operations! FREE!”

by MissMathDork

There is more to this Freebie than meets the eye! I have used this game with kiddos who are in 5th grade and remedial as well as who are in Algebra 1 and need enrichment!

For each problem:

You MUST use ALL the numbers 1,2,3 and 4.
You may NOT repeat the 1,2,3 or 4.
The numbers 1,2,3, and 4 do NOT need to be in consecutive order.
You may use addition, subtraction, multiplication or division as many times as you would like.
Parenthesis, Exponents, Square roots, and Fraction bars ARE allowed.

There ARE multiple solutions to EACH problem! Because of this, and because you should be having an conversation with students between them solving each problem an answer key is NOT provided, nor will it be in the future. This is NOT busy work. This is a great way to have conversations about numbers and relationships with your students.

Examples:
10 = 1 + 3 + 2 + 4 <-- lower level students
10 = (4*2) + (3-1)
10 = (3^2) + (1^4) <-- enrichment students

Like what you see? Leave me feedback! I am constantly looking to improve my items! Feel free to let me know how I can do that?

Thank you so much for support!
Mathematically yours,
MissMathDork!
