FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Teaching Writing, A Strategy for Analyzing Model Papers, Video for Teachers”

When teaching students to write, one of the biggest barriers is explaining to them what we expect. Secondly, it can be hard for students to synthesize every writing trait we've taught them. Using model papers can be a huge help in solving these problems because with this method, we are able to start with the end in mind.

In this quick video tutorial, I'll share my Red Light Green Light method I use for teaching writing with model papers. It's a hand-on method that allows students to see a paper as a whole and analyze its traits in order to strengthen their own writing.

Excellent for secondary English, but also effective for any subject.
