FREE MISC. LESSON - “Back to School Prayer Guide for Parents”

As parents, we spend a lot of time preparing to send our kids back to school. We buy new clothes and tennis shoes, backpacks and binders. But, how much time do we spend in prayer over our kids?

I believe it's so important to pray for our kids every day. Our preacher once said, "If you aren't praying for your kids, don't expect anyone else to be."

Parent's, it's up to us!

I've created a Back to School Prayer Guide for Parents, which I hope will help you to quickly pray for your children every day. Pray for their protection, friends, teachers, salvation, etc. I included verses right on the card, so you could see that these prayers come straight from Scripture. (I used the ESV version.)

I created this resource on a half sheet of paper - back and front. You can easily print, fold and keep in the front cover of your Bible.

I've also included a version which will allow you to easily print multiple copies. Simply print side 1, re-insert and print side 2 on the back. Cut apart and laminate.

As the Preschool Ministry Coordinator for my church, I plan to have a stack of these on our check-in counter for parents to pick up the Sunday before school starts.

This Year Book is perfect for the first day of school!

It is a compilation of self-portraits students create of themselves throughout the year. There are pages for every month so you can use it monthly, or as often as you choose. There is also a questionnaire that is filled out on the first day of school and the last day of school where students identify their age, what they want to be when they grow up, and some of their favorite items.

The cover that is included is provided as an example. Page 2 is blank other than the border. That way students can write their school, name, teacher, and year in their own handwriting to personalize it for themselves.

On the last day, laminate the covers, bind the books, and send them home for the parents to enjoy! Add this to your back to school collection!

Pennants are a great way to decorate your room for back to school!  It's students work at the ready.  Let's explore different types.

Executive Branch

For the newest members of the Executive Branch: Joe Biden, Dr. Jill and VP Kamala Harris!  Have your students do the research, fill them out and decorate.  These pennants can be used before election times or President's Day, or any time you want something cool to decorate your room.

Hispanic Heritage Month

September 15th to October 15th is LatinX Heritage month.  What better way to celebrate than to research some famous Latinos?  People like Frida Kahlo, Eva Peron and Lin Manuel Miranda!  As a matter of fact, there are 34 pennants to choose from in both color and black and white. 

Get the whole kit and kaboodle!

If you want enough pennants for the whole year, here you go.  In this pennant bundle, you have pennants for the Executive branch, Hispanic Heritage month, Christmas Holiday, Valentine's Day, and St. Paddy's day.  Then you have some for multiplication, a study of the planets and finally a college application.  Have to start thinking about where they may want to go now!
