Grammar practice does not have to be complicated. These 3 grammar worksheets give focused practice in one simple rule: Use a capital when naming a particular person, place, or thing. This rule applies to 95% of what students need to know about capitals when writing, except for capitals at the beginning of sentences. Since they simplify the concept, these lessons are especially helpful for struggling writers in middle grades.  Answer Keys included.

This resource could be used as an introduction or review of land changes as your students rotate through the posters and record the characteristics of each on the included content frame. The matching flash cards would be a great addition to your science centers/stations for your students to practice this skill.

My Shadow Books are great Science Resources for Any Time of the Year.

Students will work with their families to complete the activity at home. Both students and parents will record data in the My Shadow Book. Then, they will use the data for measuring. Language Arts - "Task Cards: Proofreading (Common Core Grades 3-5)"

By Christina L
Grades 3-5

Task Cards:  Proofreading, Capitalization, Punctuation, Commonly Confused Words, Irregular Verbs, Subject/Verb Agreement

These task cards are larger than normal (6 questions each) so students can work on just one card. More advanced students may complete more than one card. A "user friendly" method of displaying them is to laminate them, punch a hole in the corner and attach them with a binder ring.

Includes:
• 10 Task Cards (6 questions each) + 10 Answer Keys (Includes Cards with both White and Colored Backgrounds)
• Recording sheet to show completion of each card

Topics include:
• Write the Correct Verb (This activity covers irregular verbs.)
• Punctuation and Capitalization (This covers capital letters, periods,
question marks, apostrophes and commas.)
• What Needs Capitalization?
• Subject-Verb Agreement
• Confusing Words (This activity covers frequently misspelled homophones.)

Great for literacy centers, the Daily Five, early finishers or small group intervention!

Thanks for looking!
