FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “Lined Alpha Boxes”

by Love Learn Teach
1st - 5th Grade

These alpha boxes can be used for a variety of purposes. In my classroom, we have used these for:
- facing index pages in a science, vocabulary, or math journal
- as a graphic organizer to activate students' prior knowledge prior to a unit of student (this works very well with the Round Table cooperative learning structure)
- personal word walls
- as a graphic organizer to track key vocabulary during units of study.

  1. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this one! Thanks for posting. I use Alphaboxes all the time, giving my students paper such as newsprint or manila, but some students find it difficult to write on unlined paper. This solves the problem.
