FREE MATH LESSON - “Apple Count & Clip Cards * Common Core Aligned *”

by Teaching Tykes
PreKindergarten - 1st Grade

These cards are terrific for Math Centers – A Hands-On Activity your kiddos will love!

Count & Clip Cards allow learners to practice counting. There are 12 clip cards. On each card is a set of pictures to count and a choice of three numerals. Learners count the pictures in the set and clip a clothespin to the numeral that corresponds with the number of pictures in the set.

Print, laminate, and cut out the clothespin clip cards.
I like to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer or placing a sticker on the back of the card in the area of the correct answer, where the clothespin will be clipped.

Apple Count & Clip Cards meet Common Core Standards:

Counting & Cardinality
K.CC.B.4 Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
K.CC.B.4a When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
K.CC.B.4b Understand that the last number name said tells the number of objects counted. The number of objects is the same regardless of their arrangement or the order in which they were counted.
K.CC.B.4c Understand that each successive number name refers to a quantity that is one larger.
K.CC.B.5 Count to answer “how many?” questions about as many as 20 things arranged in a line, a rectangular array, or a circle, or as many as 10 things in a scattered configuration; given a number from 1–20, count out that many objects.

These count & clip cards were created to go with my Apples Thematic Centers and Worksheets. Please take a look at my other Food Products
