FREE MISC. LESSON - “Acts of Kindness and Justice: Build a Wall”

by Rainbow City Learning
3rd - 6th Grade

This idea was inspired by The Kindness and Justice Challenge proposed by Martin Luther King III and Coretta Scott King in 1999 through an organization called DoSomething.org. The intent of the challenge is to keep Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream alive for children following MLK Day and into the future.
The resources in this packet may be used within your own classroom, grade level, or school. Students receive a “brick wall” page and begin collecting data on acts of k & j that they do. Each time they do an act of kindness or justice, they write a sentence on a brick about the act.
The completed pages may then be displayed on a bulletin board or wall in your classroom or on a wall in a school hallway.
