FREE LANGUAGE ARTS LESSON - “The No-Grading Essay: a FREE Method for English Teachers to Take Less Home!”

by Secondary Sara
6th - 12th Grade

Tired of taking home piles of essays and rubrics? There is another way…

Borrow these two FREE plans that are low-homework for the students and low-grading for you!

One is a heavy-teaching version with time for many skill lessons embedded (great for middle school/early high school); the second is a faster version that includes timed in-class writing that students will revise (awesome for older students).

This document was partially born from a buyer’s request for a CALENDAR to see how all of my essay writing materials fit together, so the two plans include hyperlinks to some of my store's other lessons as well.

Download the PDF to find out if an informal writer’s workshop method can empower you to “grade” verbally in live writer’s conferences INSTEAD of writing comments alone on your couch (that students might not read anyway!)

This plan may not work for everyone, but I hope that it gives you inspiration for some ways to sequence your essays. :-)
