Valentines Day Word Search: Looking for a simple fun activity to calm students after Valentine's Day fun? I love to have students work on word searches. It calms them down after party excitement, gives me a few minutes to clean up for the next activity, and with how many times a child spells out a word in their head while trying to locate it in the puzzle has got to help their spelling ability right?
Consonant Digraph Bingo gives teachers the opportunity to practice beginning and ending consonant digraphs in a fun and engaging way. Supporting phonemic awareness, teachers ask students to listen to the words they speak from the Bingo call list, then asks them to match the words with the same sound on their Bingo cards. This activity is Science of Reading-aligned and encourages the consistent use of reading terminology (digraph) in the classroom. You will get 15 individual cards. Click below to explore some of my book companions that include Bingo games as well!
