FREE MISC. LESSON - “Comprehension Assessment Activity - Exit Pass”

by Connie
5th - 12th Grade

This Exit Pass offers teachers a way to end the Student Shuffle that occurs when students start to cram books and papers into their backpacks when a few minutes still exist in the period.

In the last five minutes, require them to fill out this simple form where they jot down three ideas, thoughts or concepts that they will carry with them. In June, they will have a record of their year and their thoughts on the lessons they learned and in which they participated.

This is designed for the 7th-12th grade levels, but can be modified to fit elementary age students. I also use this in my creative writing and journalism electives. It's a great closure technique for any level and any field of study.
