Wednesday Weekly 5 Under $5 - 2/28/18

Every week I put together a list of 5 great products from members of The Best of Teacher Entrepreneurs Marketing Cooperative (TBOTEMC) with the requirement that each product must be less than $5.  With a variety of subjects and a wide range of grades, there just might be something that you can use, so continue to read below and see!

In addition, if you're a seller on Teachers Pay Teachers (TpT) that would like to join the Wednesday Weekly 5 Under $5 team, click here to get more information about joining TBOTEMC.  Feel free to e-mail me with any questions, as I'd be happy to help in any way possible.

Math; Grades 4-7

This activity is a great way to practice converting between metric units. This pack includes worksheets and Snyder Classroom's infographic on how to convert Metric Units. There are three different levels of metric conversions which makes it easy to differentiate within the classroom (without decimals, decimal answers with common metric units and decimal answers with less common metric units).

The Freedom Around the World research project is a perfect assignment to assign students who have been working on literature related to freedom (as was the case in my classroom) or students in social studies / history when oppression, revolution, or freedom have been recent thematic topics of discussion. It can work as an in-school assignment, an out-of-class assignment, or a blend of time-management requirements.

ELA/Reading; Grades K-2

This is the perfect way to practice the FSZL or Floss rule. Your students will love doing these games and activities, and you will love how much they learn!

With over 20 compliments and 15 improvement suggestions, the conference card will help guide what to say during a writing conference with your students! Just like when you scaffold and model the requirements for an essay in a mini-lesson, you do the same thing individually for each student through conferencing. Conferencing will help you deliver differentiated instruction.
