Ruby Bridges

The Story of Ruby Bridges is one of my favorite books to read to any class.  Rich conversation always follows after reading her story.  Such an ugly time in our history but so important for our students to learn all about what Ruby and others like her went through.  To extend the learning I created a lap book and craftivity about Ruby.  If you want to engage students and extend the conversation about civil rights in your classroom take a peek at the unit HERE.

Feedback received for Ruby:
"What a great unit. So much fun to teach."

"Love it! My students really enjoyed the craft and putting it all together.  Thanks so much. It's one of my favorite projects to do."

"My students enjoyed the activities. It helped them retain information about her that they would refer back to over the rest of the school year."
