This activity covers Idioms, Similes, Metaphors and Adages/Proverbs.

It can be used in a literacy center, in small groups or for early finishers. 

It includes:
• 36 cards for sorting
• 4 headings for sort
• 4 handouts (“Similes”, “Metaphors”, “Idioms” and “Adages and Proverbs”) which give a definition, an example and space for students to record 3 of their answers and the meanings
• Answer Keys
