Math Game - "Math Board Game 8th Grade - Functions (8.F)"

This board game is fun for the students while they sharpen their skills and deepen their understanding of functions. They will draw a card and they must correctly answer the question in order to move along the game board. One person will be designated as the Answer Checker. The rules of the game are explained in the Preview.

The questions on the standards in the 8th grade domain Functions include:
1. Determining if a graph, a table, a set of ordered pairs or an equation is a function.
2. Comparing properties of functions. 
3. Distinguishing between linear and non-linear functions using graphs, tables and equations.
4. Using a table or a graph to write a function to model a linear relationship.
5. Determining rate of change and initial value of a function.
6. Determining an equation of a function to model a real world situation.
7. Analyzing time-distance graphs given verbal statements.
